Faculty and Staff

Ms. Luana Hidalgo Ms. Luana Hidalgo a native of Maracaibo, Venezuela. She has been a member of Ballet de Maracaibo, Ballet Nuevo Mundo de Caracas, Cleveland Ballet, and San Jose Ballet. She has performed classic repertoires from Petipa to Fokine and Balanchine as well as modern works including Vicente Nebrada, Alvin Ailey, among many others. She also starred in the Venezuela ballet film "Unas son de amor". She began teaching at the Cleveland San Jose Ballet School and she also taught at Nevada Ballet Theater and at Ballet San Jose. Not only Luana Hidalgo has dedicated her teaching career specializing as a Ballet teacher for the very young students, but also as a teacher for the adult student. In 1995 she was awarded "Best Classical Ballerina" in Venezuela and she received the honor of the "City of Avignon" in France.
   
Andrey Konkin Andrey Konkin is a graduate from the prestigious school of ballet of Perm in Russia. He started his ballet studies in his hometown of Nishninovgorod, Russia. As a member of the Perm Opera Ballet Company, where he danced professionally for more than two years, he traveled to Italy and China in their international tours. Andrey joined Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida in 2004 when he performed as the Prince in The Nutcracker. He has danced the principal roles of Chipollino, Prince Ivan of Firebird and always a soloist in Shostakovich Suites and Glinka Suite. Andrey had the honor of being coached for the role of Le Spectre de la Rose by Mr. George Zoritch, legend of the Ballet Russes. He also danced at the International Ballet Festival in Poland in 2006. His repertoire also includes “Spring Waters” and “The Seasons”.
   
Jelena Radojevic, born in Yugoslavia, Novi Sad, where she began her classical ballet training at the age of six at The Ballet School of Novi Sad along with Josip Slavenski Music School. She has studied with Ukrainian ballet pedagogues Vladimir Suvalov, Robert Klavin and Oksana Storozuk. After her graduation, she was accepted at The National Ballet Theater in Novi Sad as corps de ballet and soloist in classical and neo-classical performances, “Paquita”, “Giselle”, “Carmina Burana”, and “Ballet Inspiration”. Her desire to learn modern dance brought her to the New World School of the Arts, in Miami, where she performed works by Gerald Ebitz, Michael Uthoff, Jose Limon, and worked with ballet pedagogues Tina Santos, and Bambi Anderson. During her education she has attended many ballet competitions and seminars in Europe and in the United States. In June 2006 she received a Bachelor Degree of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Florida. She enjoys teaching classical ballet and choreographing for young dancers.
   
Rafaela Dulato (Musical Kinder / Jazz & Tap) She started dancing at the age of 10. She has attended the Imperial Classical Ballet Seminar in the summer of 2001 and 2003. She has performed different roles in the Nutcracker which include “The Doll” and the “Chinese”. She has participated in every production of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida including the tour to Denmark and Poland. Rafaela is pursuing her career as a Dance Teacher by attending FIU since 2006.
   
Moraima Serra

Moraima Serra (Hip Hop) is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of Puerto Rico in 1999 in Performing Arts and followed her dance studies at the Presidential Grant Chunter College in New York. She trained in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop and Tap at the Balletteatro Infantil de Nada Hudo in Puerdo Rico and later at the Broadway Dance Center in New York with Master teachers AC Ciula, Mia Michaels, Sheil Barker and more. She has been a dancer and choreographer for Ednita Nazario, Elvis Crespo, Yolandita Monge and for various TV commercials. She has an extensive experience as a Dance teacher for more than seven years. Moraima is also a Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor and Pilates Instructor.

   
esther pardo Esther Pardo – Flamenco , was born in Sabadell (Barcelona, Spain). At the age of four she enters the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático y Danza in Murcia, Spain. In 1991 she becomes part of the Ballet Español de Murcia. She has shared the stage with important artists such as Rocío Jurado, Isabel Pantoja, El Puma, Sara Baras, Rosario Flores, Lolita Flores, Sergio Dalma, Imperio Argentina, among others.As an instructor Esther founded in 1999 her own Dance School in Murcia, Spain. After completing two tours in the US with Hispanic Flamenco Ballet, she decided to make Miami her home where she performs Flamenco and Spanish Dance shows and she teaches at the most prestigious dance schools such as Vladimir Issaev’s School of Classical Ballet.
